Product Care
Each Silverline & Co watch is crafted from 925 sterling silver and may feature natural marcasite, African garnet, black onyx, freshwater pearls, cubic zirconia, and other decorative stones or materials. These materials are carefully selected for their character and beauty and should be handled with care to help preserve their appearance over time.
To maintain the condition and longevity of your watch, we recommend following the care guidelines below:
- Avoid contact with water, perfumes, lotions, hairspray, cosmetics, cleaning products, and other chemicals, as these may affect the finish of the silver or decorative stones
- Remove your watch before showering, swimming, using spas or saunas, exercising, sleeping, or performing manual activities
- Although your watch is water resistant for everyday wear, water resistance is not permanent and may reduce over time through normal use, ageing of seals, or accidental impact. Excessive exposure to moisture should always be avoided
- Avoid dropping, knocking, or placing pressure on the watch, as natural stones, pearls, and intricate settings can be delicate
- Marcasite jewellery should be treated with particular care, as repeated impact or harsh handling may loosen stones over time
- Clean gently using a soft, dry polishing cloth suitable for sterling silver jewellery. If required, lightly wipe with a soft cloth after wear to remove moisture, oils, or residue
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh polishing compounds, silver dips, or ultrasonic cleaners, as these may damage the silver finish, stones, pearls, or watch components
- Sterling silver may naturally tarnish over time due to exposure to air, humidity, skin oils, and environmental conditions. This is a natural characteristic of sterling silver and not considered a fault
- To help minimise tarnishing and scratches, store your watch in a dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity, preferably in its original box or a soft jewellery pouch
- For watches featuring freshwater pearls, avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, perfumes, or chemicals, as pearls are organic materials that require gentle care
- Watches featuring African garnet, black onyx, or cubic zirconia should also be protected from strong impact and abrasive surfaces to help maintain their finish and polish
Please note that each watch is fitted with a protective film on both the front crystal and the stainless steel case back to help protect the surface during shipping and handling. We recommend removing these protective films before wearing the watch.
